Project Type: Conversion of aging OMNI (fascia-style) gutter system on a two-story home to 6″ seamless K-style gutters with new fascia and aluminum wrap.
Project Duration: 5 Days
Investment: $15,000 (contracted, all-in)

When Chris moved into her Westchester home, one of the first frustrations was the gutter system. The house had an OMNI fascia-style gutter — a flat-faced design attached directly to rafters.
When Chris moved into her Westchester home, one of the first frustrations was the gutter system. The house had an OMNI fascia-style gutter — a flat-faced design attached directly to rafters. While once considered innovative, OMNI systems are difficult to service and nearly impossible to re-pitch once they begin sagging.
Chris noticed all the typical symptoms: standing water after storms, uneven runs that undercut performance, and a dated look that clashed with the landscaping she takes pride in. As she later wrote in her review: “In receiving numerous quotes from other companies, they never fully explained the differences of this OMNI gutter system versus traditional gutters (OMNI is all one-piece, seamless, no fascia, attached to the house).”
She had already reached out to multiple contractors. One estimator pushed repairs but admitted they weren’t guaranteed. Another company barely returned her calls and seemed more interested in showing off past projects than solving her problem. Chris was tired of patchwork proposals and sales pitches that didn’t address the issue.
The turning point came when a roofing company told her she didn’t need a new roof yet — just a new gutter system — and encouraged her to look for a contractor familiar with OMNI conversions. After more research, Chris found Holda Construction.
“As a small business owner, I was impressed it was a family-run business with employees versus contractors. That made me feel very comfortable. The owner, Mariusz, was fantastic — called me immediately, explained everything in detail, and came the very next day to explain the process.”
From the first conversation, she appreciated the transparency. We showed her the real trade-offs between short-term repairs, partial swaps, and a full conversion. “Once I made the decision, they started the conversion that week and completed in three days,” Chris recalled.
Two main topics were covered during our first meetings:
1. Why repairing the old OMNI wasn’t good for this homeowner
Fit note: Repair can be fine for a small, newer section. This home had an older OMNI system with wider issues—not a good candidate for repair.
2) Why a new OMNI system is not a good fit for this home:
For all these reasons, we recommended converting to a traditional system with new wood fascia, aluminum wrap, 6″ seamless K-style gutters, oversized outlets, and 3×4 downspouts—a clean look that’s easy to maintain.
Chris called → Barbara set a 10-minute call with Mariusz → we asked for photos → Chris sent ~10 photos in ~2 hours → we measured from satellite → we emailed a detailed quote ~3 hours later.
Chris noticed the difference in craftsmanship. “The care each of his crew-members took was incredible. I’ve found the quality of work and work-ethics has been declining currently, but this company proved me wrong.”
** On this project we were able to price clearly without an initial visit due to a set of roughly ten clear photos Chris sent over showing every run, corner, and downspout making sure the layout was clear. Our satellite imagery technology then gave the exact linear footage for the gutters. And while we still performed an on-site inspection in case there were any missed details, our extensive experience with OMNI to K-Style Gutter conversions allowed us to have a reliable template to build a fast and accurate proposal.
For Chris, this wasn’t about gutters—it was about ending the cycle of unclear answers and temporary fixes. “Thank goodness someone finally explained that I didn’t need a new roof, but definitely a new gutter system,” she said. By choosing a full OMNI-to-K-style conversion, she solved the root problem, improved her home’s look, and found peace of mind in a process handled with care.

By the end of September, the transformation was obvious. The home now has a proper fascia, wrapped in aluminum, and a K-style gutter system that looks polished and functions the way it should. The larger outlets and downspouts carry more water, the fascia lines frame the home neatly, and the system is built to last.
Chris summed it up in her review: “My house looks polished and brand new! Amazing what a properly installed gutter system can do to improve the aesthetics of your home.”
While she acknowledged, “the pricing seemed a little on the high side,” she also wrote, “they guarantee their work and you get what you pay for. Quality service and worry-free process. Can’t recommend them enough.”
During contract work, pricing may change from contract to invoice as hidden issues are discovered (i.e. wood rot, leaks, etc). On this project there were no surprises!
Pricing was as follows:
| Document | Amount | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Contract | $15,000 | Signed before work |
| Change Orders | $0 | None — no hidden issues |
| Final Invoice | $15,000 | Matches contract |
